About

Jonathan Young is a passionate and creative architect that serves as the Director of Preservation and Reuse at Browning Day Mullins Dierdorf in Indianapolis, Indiana.  His interest in architecture started at a young age in his hometown of Terre Haute, Indiana.  In Terre Haute, he became infatuated with The Terre Haute House, a vacant Renaissance Revival hotel located in Terre Haute's downtown.  Much in part to his interest in this building, he pursued architecture as a profession.  This included receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture at the University of Minnesota and a Master of Architecture at the University of Illinois.  He also studied in Mexico and France.

His professional career has taken him to positions in St. Paul, Minnesota; Chicago, Illinois; and Indianapolis, Indiana.  His practice has largely focused on historic preservation projects, but his interests are wide including all forms of architecture, graphic design, and photography.  Jonathan lives in the greater Indianapolis area with his wife, Jaime, and two boys, Jude and Julian.
